Four ANZ senior executives are involved in a global job swap.

ANZ has reshuffled four senior executives in its institutional division following ANZ Asia managing director David Hornery's return to Australia.

Michael Saadie has left his job as ANZ Private Bank managing director and will replace Hornery.

Mark Ellis has left his job heading Europe and Americas and will replace Saadie.

Tim L'Estrange, former ANZ Group general counsel and company secretary, will replace Ellis.

ANZ said Hornery returned to Australia from Singapore after two years for reasons associated with his young family. His new job will be announced at a later date, the bank said.

Hornery joined ANZ from Macquarie Bank in 1996 as Head of Capital Markets Australia (ANZ Investment Bank) and was made managing director, Asia in 2004.

"These changes provide new development opportunities for senior colleagues and continue movement between the corporate, personal and specialist functions within the group," ANZ group general manager institutional Steve Targett said.
