Brisbane planner to head boutique group

Boutique group appoints new man to lobby for interests of small advisers.

HN Financial Partners director Claude Santucci is the new president of the Boutique Financial Planning Principals' Group (BFPPG).

He replaces outgoing president Retirewell principal Tony Gillett who has served since 2005.

Santucci, a certified financial planner, was elected at the group's annual conference in Brisbane last week.

His Brisbane practice holds its own Australian Financial Services Licence.

Santucci worked for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Société Générale (London) in banking and as a foreign exchange dealer and broker before establishing the Hong Kong office of Charles Fulton.

He joined Macquarie Bank where he managed the Queensland Treasury Department of the bank for 12 years.

He was with Godfrey Pembroke Financial Planners in Brisbane from 1987 to 1995 before joining Buck Consultants, now Mellon Human Resources and Investor Solutions.

He established HN Financial Partners in 2000 with a colleague Jacqueline Parker.
