BT announces more senior appointments

The merged Westpac and St George wealth management business makes further appointments.

BT Financial Group (BTFG) has announced a number of senior appointments in its combined wealth management business, formed by the Westpac/St George merger.  

"The appointments have been made in the advice and private banking, insurance, and superannuation and investment solutions businesses, and follow the recent announcements of general managers across the group," a statement from BTFG said.

Appointments include: head of BT Wrap Chris Freeman; head of St George business solutions (including Asgard) Wayne Wilson; head of dealer groups and Licensee Select (including Magnitude and Securitor) Neil Younger; head of life insurance Phil Hay; head of general insurance Brendan Tobin; head of group insurance Charles Holland; head of lenders mortgage insurance Peter Morgan; and Dean Thomas, who will lead the transformation and integration program for BT and St George's superannuation and investment businesses.

"This group of highly talented and experienced industry leaders will play a central role in delivering the best services and products to our customers," BTFG chief executive Rob Coombe said.

Appointments take effect immediately and others are to be announced in coming weeks.
