Dealer group Centric Wealth has appointed Chris Cuffe to its board of directors.
Cuffe, who has more than 20 years of experience in funds management, is a director of organisations including Third Link Investment Managers, industry superannuation fund UniSuper and listed investment company WAM Active.
"We are fortunate to be able to benefit from his [Cuffe's] deep strategic and investment expertise as we continue to focus on the needs of our clients," Centric Wealth chief executive Michael Pillemer said.
Cuffe said Centric Wealth is a well respected wealth advisory group with a diversified service offering across financial planning, risk insurance, corporate benefit services, lending services, accounting and business advisory, general insurance and family office services.
The business is well positioned in the current market, has strong growth prospects and plans to expand its services to clients, he said.
Prior to Cuffe's appointment, he spent 20 years building successful wealth management practices at Colonial First State Investments and Challenger Financial Services Group.
He is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the Financial Institute of Australasia and the Institute of Company Directors.
In 2007, Cuffe received the Australian Fund Manager's ABN Amro Hall of Fame Award for his contribution to the investment management industry.
Past Centric Wealth directors Roger Davis and Russel Pillemer retired from the board on 30 June 2009.
