Count has rolled out a new online solution to help reduce workload for its accounting.

Count Financial (Count) has launched a new online system aimed at assisting accounting firms to grow their revenue while reducing their workload.

The Count Growth Profit System, or Count GPS, is a joint venture between Count and SBS Business Solutions.

Count GPS was designed to make users more efficient and in turn more profitable, Count chairman Barry Lambert said.

"Initially, Count GPS will only be available to Count members, but later we expect it will become the platform for the Countplus accounting franchise, which will be available to the accounting profession generally," Lambert said.

The new system is expected to be as successful as the group's SuperCentral product, another joint venture internet-based service aimed at accountants in public practice, he said.

SuperCentral was launched in 2006 and according to Count, has been highly successful and is now used by around 3000 self managed super funds.

Count GPS, SuperCentral and finconnect, as well as other Count services, are all expected to form the building blocks of a Countplus accounting franchise, Lambert said.

SBS Business Solutions is a Brisbane-based Count franchisee being acquired by Countplus.

Countplus is expected to announce the purchase of its second Queensland firm later this week.

This acquisition will be the sixth acquisition for Countplus. The previous estimate of 10 settlements by the end of June has been deferred to the end of August 2008.
