"It's certainly an honour to be asked to stand again. Obviously there are still a lot of things to be done and it's great to be part of it," Dieters said.
The FPA chair can be elected for a maximum of three terms, after a change was made at the FPA annual general meeting (AGM) last year which voted for an extension of the term for directors from two years to three.
However, Dieters said she was unlikely to run for a third term as chair. "I'm hoping to wind back a bit and take up more involvement with committees," she said.
Newly elected FPA directors are Asteron technical services head Louise Biti (who has served on the FPA superannuation committee since 1997), Haintz Financial Services executive chairman David Haintz (member of the FPA disciplinary board and FPA professional standards and ethics committee), Sovereign Bridge director Julie Matheson (FPA regulations committee member) and Magnitude chief executive Mark Spiers (FPA legislation and regulation committee member).
The new directors will take up their new roles at the FPA AGM, to be held during the FPA Conference in Melbourne in late November.
Stepping down after the AGM are Chris Craggs and Leonie Henry.
Continuing as FPA board members are Bruce Beakey, Julie Berry, Bruce Foy, Rob Gerrand, Paul Gerrand, and Matt Lawler.
