The FRC has recruited new members and reappointed previous members to lead the stakeholder body.

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has made a number of changes, with the council naming four new members and reappointing a further three.

The changes ensure the FRC continues to have highly experienced and qualified members to meet its responsibilities overseeing accounting and audit standard setting arrangements, Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law Nick Sherry said.

New appointments include: Australian Prudential Regulation Authority executive group member John Trowbridge, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board chairperson Merran Kelsall, Australian Accounting Standards Board chairman David Boymal and Australian Shareholders Association chief executive Stuart Wilson.

The council's reappointments include: Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia member Jan West, Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance secretary Don Challen and New Zealand Accounting Standards Review Board chairman Warwick Hunt.
