Frontier continues to appoint staff despite current market turmoil and industry layoffs.

Asset consultant Frontier Investment Consulting (Frontier) has appointed Jennifer Lam to the position of associate consultant.

Lam has worked as an infrastructure and utilities research analyst for Merrill Lynch and as a credit analyst with Deutsche Bank.

In the new role, Lam will spend a portion of her time dedicated to Frontier's new specialist infrastructure advisory service, where she will work alongside senior consultant Chris Trevillyan and analyst Chris Coulthurst.

"Jennifer will join Frontier's consulting team and be involved in both client work and investment research," Frontier managing director Fiona Trafford-Walker said.

"Jennifer will have a particular focus on our new infrastructure advisory service as we seek to grow the depth of our team to enable us to offer a strong service to prospective clients."

Unlike many industry colleagues, Frontier is seeking to grow rather than reduce staff numbers, Trafford-Walker said.

"In the current market turmoil, Frontier is busier than ever in helping clients through these uncertain times," she said.

In August, Frontier promoted Allison Hill, Leigh Gavin and Chris Trevillyan to senior analyst positions and hired Chris Coulthurst as an analyst.
