A new virtual seminar website is giving advisers 24/7 access to industry experts, business tools and tips.

Advisers looking to improve communications and learn about developing winning businesses can now do so via a 24/7 paid subscription website, the Leading Minds Academy.

Launched during the week of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) 2008 National Conference, the website gives advisers access to industry experts through tele-seminars, blogs, articles, podcasts and an ask the experts page.

"Advisers typically have vast access to technical training but when it comes to soft skills like communications and building winning businesses there is a significant gap," Leading Minds Academy co-principal Brian Boggs said.

"The website aims to fill that gap by giving advisers 24/7 access to well-known experts, who specialise in these fields, as well as business tools and tips," he said.

The first series sees experts talk about how advisers can master communication, including ways to engage with clients, how to sell strategies and staying positive when markets are down.

Upcoming series include: what makes a winner (including interviews with AFA Adviser of the Year winners), what makes a rising star (including interviews with AFA Rising Star of the Year winners), hiring and retaining the right employees, time management, succession planning, developing niche markets and more.

Boggs said 2008 AFA National Conference speaker and visibility coach David Avrin will be a regular expert on the site.

"The Leading Minds Academy is an industry-first website and enables advisers to get the tools they need to build their businesses, anywhere anytime," he said.
