Orchard Funds Management has hired industry stalwart Charles Macek as chair of its business.
Macek is chair of the Financial Reporting Council and the Sustainable Investment Research Institute
He also sits on the investment committee of the industry fund Unisuper and is a board member with Telstra and Wesfarmers.
Macek was co-founder and chief investment officer of County Investment Management which was established in 1985.
"Charles is incredibly well credentialled. The board is confident that his experience and knowledge of the finance and investment industry make him the right person to lead Orchard," Orchard chief executive David Hinde said.
Macek replaces outgoing chair Robert Appleby.
