Macquarie Private Wealth has appointed three new advisers to its Melbourne office.
George and David Varlamos have joined the team as senior private client advisers, while Andrew Phillips has been appointed a private client adviser.
Macquarie Private Wealth state manager for Victoria, Malcolm Cameron, said the three advisers would bring additional experience to the team, further strengthening the services offered to clients across Victoria.
"Our clients are looking for financial advice they can trust and we are continuing to build on our highly skilled team to ensure we can meet these needs," Cameron said.
"The new team has a strong network of contacts across the Victorian business community, which has helped them to build successful careers in financial services and we are delighted to welcome them to the business."
George Varlamos brings 50 years of experience in commercial banking and stockbroking to the role, advising corporate, institutional and high net worth clients and specialising in equity fund raisings.
David Varlamos has nearly 20 years of experience in stockbroking, focusing on advising clients on direct equities, derivatives, managed funds and fixed-interest securities.
He has also advised Australian companies on capital raisings through initial public offers, placements, underwritings and rights issues.
Phillips also specialises in direct equities and derivatives and worked in paraplanning prior to becoming a stockbroker five years ago.
Cameron added that the advisers, with support from Macquarie's research analysts, had an extensive knowledge of financial markets, global economies and the current business environment, which would assist clients in meeting their wealth creation goals.
