The National Australia Bank's global investment arm, nabCapital, has beefed up its Australian structured property finance team.
Briar Dowsett has joined as a director responsible for origination, structuring and execution of equity finance transactions in the property sector.
She most recently worked for Aria as portfolio manager responsible for investment decisions and oversight of domestic and global property.
Prior to this she worked for BT Funds Management in investment and business development jobs in Sydney and London.
Also joining the Sydney team as an associate director is Grant Healy, who has come across from Macquarie Bank's real estate capital group. Healy recently established a subsidiary to manage Macquarie's Real Estate Investment Trust Portfolios in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Both will report to Stuart King who is now responsible for the Australian Structured Property Finance team.
Also resurfaced from Macquarie's real estate group is Spiros Deftereos, who has joined nab as an analyst in Melbourne.
NabCapital's structured property finance team employs 17 people and began operations in May 2005.
"We've achieved much success over the past 18 months and have a strong pipeline of deals coming through, including working with clients on their offshore strategies," nabCapital's head of structured property finance Arthur Psaltis said.
"The expansion of our team will ensure we continue to deliver quality outcomes for our corporate and investor clients."
