AMP-owned Hillross is the second dealer group in a week to announce a change of leadership.
Current Hillross managing director Jack Regan will depart the head role in February to assume the role of deputy head of AMP Financial Services New Zealand.
He will be replaced by internal candidate John McMurdo, who has moved back across the Tasman.
McMurdo has been with AMP Financial Services New Zealand since June 1998 in a variety of management roles, most recently head of life insurance, where he oversaw the business almost double in size and value over a four-year period.
AMP director of advice based distribution Steve Helmich said the appointments, both internal, testified to the significant management depth within AMP.
Yesterday, Financial Wisdom head Paul Barrett announced he will leave the Commonwealth Bank of Australia-owned dealer group at the end of the year to take up the role of Colonial First State general manager of distribution.
AMP also announced that AMP Financial Services New Zealand Managing Director Greg Camm will leave the organisation in the second half of 2007.
