Employees in the Australian and New Zealand financial planning industries have recently experienced salary increases of up to 6.7 per cent, according to the 2008 Hays Salary Survey.
The survey results revealed that salaries for qualified, senior paraplanners have increased on average across Australia and New Zealand, with typical growth from $70,000 to $75,000 in Sydney and from $58,000 to $65,000 in Auckland .
The survey reaffirms the solid base upon which Australasia's business strength is built, Hays Banking senior regional director Jane McNeill said.
"Steady job growth is still the dominant feature of Australasia's recruitment market and there are plenty of examples of significant salary increases that testify to its ongoing strength," McNeill said.
Hays reported that the level of infrastructure investment also shows no sign of abating across both countries, causing continued pressure on candidate sourcing and affirming the strength of Australia and New Zealand's recruitment market.
"Logically, the highest salary increases over the year have occurred for roles where the need for candidates is highest," McNeill said.
