Rising corporate advice firm Certainty Financial has hired former Plantech executive Mark Young to run its back office.
Young will start on October 1 as director of operations for the Sydney and Melbourne-based company which offers corporate super, group risk insurance and financial advice.
Young was previously director of operations for insurance software provider Plantech Consulting Group, which was acquired by Xplan 12 months ago.
Prior to Plantech, Young spent five years in sales and administration for fund manager Tyndall.
He has held management jobs in the aviation, manufacturing, training and charity sectors, including a stint as director of a sea survival school in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Young was brought in to ensure the back office keeps pace with large new business inflows and further plans to expand, Certainty managing director Geoff Crewe said.
"Currently the respective divisions of the business have housed the [back office] support but given the growth we have had and the growth we expect, we need to have a dedicated specialist resource," he said.
"Mark's appointment has been a consequence of that."
Certainty, formerly known as Crewe Consulting, recently took on Adecco Group and Village Roadshow as clients.
It is looking to start up offices to Western Australia and Queensland.
