Zurich has been named the fifth insurance provider to join dealer group Securitor's adviser insurance program.
Launched in August this year, the program offers insurance workshops at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, helping Securitor advisers to more easily identify appropriate products, strategies and solutions for clients.
Along with AIG, Asteron, Aviva and ING, Zurich will provide relevant industry speakers and content material, and share expertise to help tailor workshops.
Panel members also assist Securitor's technical services team to answer adviser and client questions about specific insurance needs.
"The panel concept was developed so all our advisers' clients can be informed about the most suitable solution for their specific risk insurance needs, plus we want to make sure clients have a positive experience, both in receiving insurance cover and lodging claims," Securitor head Neil Younger said.
"The ultimate goal is to close the protection gap for all our advisers' clients."
Zurich investment and life risk business head Catherine Hallinan said with the present financial turbulence, many Australians should bear in mind protection for their most important assets - their family and potential future income.
Zurich's strategy is to work closely with quality advisers, providing education and information, Hallinan said.
According to Securitor, workshops are already proving very popular with advisers.
