Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) has made a number of external appointments and internal transfers amid the current market turmoil.
It has boosted its investments team by appointing a new relationship manager, a new investment analyst and by creating a new role.
"With these appointments the investment specialist team is now fully resourced and allows us to fully focus on the promotion of the exclusive Zurich Investment funds," Zurich director of investments Matthew Drennan said.
JP Bae has joined Zurich's investment team in the role of relationship manager and will be responsible for the management of Zurich Investments' relationships with key investment partners.
Bae replaces Matt Vincent, who has taken up the position of chief investment officer at Zurich Malaysia.
Prior to his appointment, Bae worked for MLC in various investment positions including investment policy analyst.
New graduate Elliot Bullock has been appointed investment analyst, working with Zurich's senior investment specialist Patrick Noble.
Brett Penprase has been appointed to the new role of investment specialist research manager and new opportunities, which expands on his current position.
Penprase will continue to be responsible for seeking new fund managers and research house relationship management, and will also take on responsibility for the investment specialist team comprising Noble and Bullock.
It was also announced yesterday that Zurich's former national sales manager for life risk Kevin Goss had been appointed head of life risk sales at ING Australia, effective January 27.
