Clements Dunne & Bell leaves Walker Wayland Australasia as part of acquisition

The accounting business has taken on a new structure following its merger with Clements Dunne & Bell (CDB).

The acquisition will allow Hayes Knight to restructure its business offering to provide clients with additional financial planning advice, as well as existing services.

As part of the merger, CDB has left Walker Wayland Australasia, a community of like-minded mid-tier accounting firms across Australia and New Zealand.

"We and the principals at CDB understand that their new structure precludes them from continued membership of the Walker Wayland community," Walker Wayland chair Grant Allsopp said.

"We are sorry that our friends at CDB are leaving our community but fully understand the opportunity they have grasped."

Walker Wayland is currently looking for members from mid-tier firms in Melbourne, who could contribute and benefit from the group.

The proposed merger between Hayes Knight and CDB was announced in December last year and the combined firm will now operate as Hayes Knight (Melbourne).

The additional resources will also further the company's capacity to meet the cross-border accounting, auditing, tax and business consulting needs of clients.

"As a result of this merger, we will have more people on board to focus on our growing number of clients and their needs, ensuring we are providing the best, most effective and specialised service level possible," Hayes Knight Melbourne managing director Paul Dal Bosco said at the time the merger was announced.

"It will also enable us to fast track our finical planning offering to clients with CDB's established and robust service offering."

Hayes Knight Melbourne is one of nine Hayes Knights firms across Australia and New Zealand.
