FIIG Securities has appointed Mark Paton as chief executive.

Paton will further develop the FIIG team to expand its fixed interest asset classes to a broader range of investors. He will also join FIIG's board of directors. Paton joins FIGG from Westpac, where he was Victorian state general manager for commercial banking for five years. He has more than 30 years' experience in financial services, including positions at ANZ as group managing director, corporate division; managing director for the global transaction service; and global industry head of food and agribusiness. "I am excited to lead the company through the next phase of its growth agenda and acknowledge the founders' vision and courage in establishing FIIG as a specialist in debt securities and cash management," Paton said.
