Zurich Financial Services has appointed Julie McCormack to the newly-created role of head of strategy and distribution, direct insurance, to drive strong growth in the face of legislative changes.

McCormack will be responsible for broadening the direct footprint and strengthening the integration of direct with Zurich. In her new role she will report to Phillip Kewin, general manager of retail life and investments. McCormack joins Zurich from CommInsure, where she spent six years as head of direct distribution.
