The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is looking to hire two new executive general managers for its dispute resolution, and strategy and business operations units.
In the newly-created position of general manager in dispute resolution, the appointed person will be responsible for improving the quality, timelines and responsiveness of FOS's dispute resolution and for the specialist teams that deliver dispute resolution to consumers and financial services providers.
The appointed person is expected to help set the strategic and operational direction of FOS and drive further innovation for the resolution services.
For the strategy and business operations unit, the person appointed in the newly-created executive general manager role will be responsible for delivering corporate services and will help to set and implement the strategic and operational direction of the organisation as it expands.
The appointed person will also be expected to improve service and customer focus.
"We've become larger and more complex, and we are looking at how we will manage the business going forward," FOS investments, life insurance and superannuation ombudsman Alison Maynard told InvestorDaily.
"What we're expecting is that these two new executive roles will be part of our senior leadership team and they will work with the current lead ombudsmen and Michael Ridgway, who runs our early resolution team, to enable us to deliver service across the organisation.
"We won't be making the organisation changes until these new people have been appointed."
