The Australian SMSF Members Association (ASMA) has partnered with OneVue to launch a direct consumer platform for its members.
OneVue chief executive Connie Mckeage said the partnership is in line with the group's decision to extend distribution through intermediaries.
Despite having announced similar partnership deals within the last six months, OneVue has no intention to market directly to investors, McKeage said.
"We feel it is very important to participate in the industry and the trustees in particular don't have enough support in terms of understanding what the requirements are," Mckeage told InvestorDaily.
"As the industry continues to evolve with the different constituents, we think it is very important to play a role in terms of providing information that enables them to keep people educated."
While OneVue acknowledges that there will always be investors that work with advisers regularly, it also recognises that there is a growing market of self directed investors, such as ASMA members, who want to do it themselves and seek advice on a graduated advice basis, McKeage said.
She said OneVue has more partnerships of this type in the pipeline.
"We are constantly looking," she said.
"We are in a very fortunate position at the moment where the market is evolving in a way that is to our benefit."
In March, OneVue announced it would roll out a consumer platform for MAP, a financial services group that caters predominantly for medical professionals.
In December last year, OneVue said it was working Australian Medical Association on a consumer platform.
