Haramis departs ANZ for Perpetual

George Haramis has left ANZ after six months to take up a position with Perpetual.

George Haramis has departed ANZ Private Bank to join rival Perpetual.

Haramis joins Perpetual Private Clients as its new Victorian state manager.

The move comes less than six months after Haramis was hired as head of advisory and risk at ANZ Private Bank.

ANZ are yet to announce his replacement.

Prior to joining ANZ, Haramis was managing director of ING-owned dealer group RetireInvest.

"George will focus on leading significant growth for our Victorian Private Clients business. With his strong leadership skills, experience and teamwork, it is expected that he will be an integral part of the Private Client leadership team," Perpetual Private Clients head Scott Riedel said. 

As at June 30, 2008, Perpetual Private Clients had about $7.7 billion in funds under advice.

Perpetual Private Clients in Victoria has about 2,500 client relationships, and almost $3 billion in funds under advice.
