Praemium has not disclosed any details of the deal, but said Etrade would implement the base service.
Under the terms of the arrangement, Praemium will not provide these services to any other online brokerage business for a period of at least two years from launch.
"It is pleasing that despite market conditions some companies remain committed to investments that offer simple and convenient solutions to customers," Praemium chief executive Arthur Naoumidis said.
"Our goal at Etrade is to make the investment process as easy and convenient as possible so our customers can concentrate on their trading strategies and not on administration," Etrade Australia managing director Stuart Sayers said.
