"Supporting our advisers' strategic advice practices and the ability to manage a client's complete portfolio of investments, superannuation and insurance needs in the one place easily and efficiently was also critical," Matrix managing director Rick Di Cristoforo said.
"BT Wrap's online capabilities, recent enhancements to direct equities, the life insurance functionality, extensive investment range and the platform's ability to process in-specie transfers stood out as benefits for our advisers and their clients."
Matrix also expects the platform to increase its attractiveness to potential recruits.
"Most advisers we speak to about joining our business have an existing relationship with BT or are aware of their strong platform capabilities," Di Cristoforo said.
Matrix already offered planners access to the Oasis platform and he said it would continue to do so.
"Our inflows have grown to a stage where we can support the choice provided by a second badge, particularly as we increase adviser numbers through recruitment," he said.
BT currently offers more than 45 badged versions of its Wrap platform.
