It would seem it never rains, it pours, or storms in the case of the latest financial planning dealer group collapse, as more stories of impropriety surface.

It was revealed recently that Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds allegedly provided a signed cricket bat to a Storm adviser so he could offer it to Commonwealth Bank of Australia so they would waive the cost of mortgage insurance he was applying for.

If this is true, it's another sordid chapter that shows Storm definitely wasn't playing the advice game with a straight bat.

Worse still, it is alleged the bank accepted the bat and waived the insurance fee. Poor judgment there as it definitely should have let that one go through to the keeper.

In light of these developments, perhaps it was just deserts that they all have been hit for six.
