Health issues have caused 452 Capital's Peter Morgan to take enforced leave.

Investment director at 452 Capital, Peter Morgan, is taking a leave of absence to attend to a personal health issue.

Morgan has been struggling with poor health for some time but only recently was his condition diagnosed as a cancer-related illness.

He is taking time off work now to undergo treatment for the disease.

Morgan has been managing the portfolios of 452 Capital over the past five years along with Suellen Morgan and Mary Feros.

Feros and Suellen Morgan will continue to look after the portfolios in Peter Morgan's absence as joint investment directors.

As a result, the funds management firm is not expecting any significant disruption to its business in the time Peter Morgan is away.

"The market has been a big challenge, and I'm ready to take on this next big challenge," Peter Morgan said.

The staff and management of 452 Capital have wished Peter Morgan a full recovery.
