Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has hired Martin Ross as a portfolio manager.
Ross will work in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia-owned asset manager's short-term investments team, managing its cash portfolios, including swap hedging, trading of derivatives, and bank and corporate debt securities.
He previously worked as a senior portfolio manager with AMP Capital Investors, where he was responsible for the investment strategy and implementation of cash and cash-enhanced portfolio investments managed by AMP. He has more than 12 years' experience in the industry.
"Despite facing very challenging conditions throughout the global financial crisis, we now look forward to continuing to offer fair-value, low-risk options to investors," CFSGAM head of short-term investments Tony Togher said.
