Macquarie has chosen an internal candidate to lead Coin Software.

Macquarie-owned financial services software provider Coin Software has appointed a new leader just a few weeks after the resignation of former managing director Darelle Jenkins.

Robert McCabe will now lead Coin Software having been promoted from his existing position as senior program manager with Macquarie Adviser Services.

The appointment will see McCabe take on the role of head of product and technology for Coin and Macquarie's web-based activities.
It is expected McCabe will be able to give Coin Software better alignment with Macquarie Adviser Services.

McCabe has already been with Macquarie for four years and from an industry perspective brings a total of 14 years of financial services experience to his new job.

McCabe previously worked at Barclays Global Investors for four years where he spent time in the firms London and San Francisco offices.
Most recently he completed five and a half year stint with Perpetual in its corporate trust area before joining Macquarie.

Jenkins tendered her resignation as managing director of Coin Software two weeks ago, a position she had held since 2007.

Jenkins will remain with the company until 20 November.
