BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Katharine Seymour as its new head of relationship management for its Australian "asset owner" clients, the firm announced yesterday.

Ms Seymour will assume responsibility for the team, managing relationships and service delivery for BNP Paribas' clients in the core client group that comprised of superannuation funds, government entities and insurance companies.

She will report to head of sales and relationship management Ken Shaw.

"As both regulation and the challenges faced by our clients increase in complexity, they will continue to go to their service providers to help them deal with the various issues this environment presents," Mr Shaw said.

"Katharine's appointment reflects our continued commitment and focus towards our asset owner clients and our plans to grow in this segment."
