Acadian Australia has appointed Dr David Walsh to the newly created role of Head of Investments for Australia.
Dr Walsh, who has more than 24 years' experience in the finance industry, will lead the investment team and help the company continue to grow.
He will be involved in all aspects of Acadian's investment strategy, including factor research, portfolio construction and trading.
Dr Walsh joins Acadian from Baseline Capital, a quantitative investment management consultancy, which he founded.

Dr Walsh has also held senior quantitative roles at BGI/Blackrock and State Street Global Advisors.
He will join the team on 4 February.
