Zurich Financial Services Australia has boosted its life and investments team with a number of appointments in the research and sales accounts areas.
James Holt was appointed as investment specialist in the strategic accounts and research team, to provide support and investment commentary to financial advisers and investors of Zurich's suite of managed funds.
According to Zurich, Mr Holt has more than 15 years' industry experience, including the last four at BlackRock as an investment specialist.
He will provide topical information "to ensure advisers and portfolio creators have access to a product and market specialist", Zurich said.
Amy Smith has also been appointed to the strategic accounts and research team as implementation manager. She will work with dealer group partners on the implementation of joint strategic initiatives, including market development and adviser education.
Ms Smith previously worked for several years at CBA in dealership and distribution roles, Zurich said.
Noting structural changes in the institutional arena arising from industry consolidation, Zurich head of strategic accounts and research Tim Meggitt said Zurich needed to match its structure to meet their needs.
"These appointments. are valuable additions to the Zurich team, bringing with them a wealth of experience in understanding the needs of advisers and dealer groups," he said.
Zurich also recently added two business development managers to its life and investments sales team in NSW and Victoria.
David Ghilks joined Zurich late last year to manage adviser relationship and business development strategies in New South Wales, having previously held roles in administration and distribution with Tower and CommInsure.
Jason Milosevski also joined late last year as business development associate and has now been promoted to the role of business development manager for Victoria. He has held roles in customer service, retention and business development with AXA.
