BlackRock has appointed former Ascalon chief operating officer Jason Collins as head of their institutional client business in Australia.
The firm has also appointed Prema Basoor as director of the division, who will report directly to Mr Collins.
"Jason brings a wealth of experience to the team and this makes him well suited to lead Black Rock's institutional business," said BlackRock Australia country head.
"He will provide our clients with the high level of proficiency and expertise that is synonymous with BlackRock."
Mr Collins will be overseeing and leading the broader business in Australia, while Ms Basoor will be responsible for the company's Melbourne-based institutional clients, BlackRock stated.
Both will take up their appointments later this month.
