Omega Global Investors' search for a head of operations has ended with the appointment of Andrew Dunlevie to the role.
Dunlevie joins Omega from Alpha Investment Management where he held a senior role in investment operations.
In his new role, Dunlevie will be responsible for developing and implementing operations strategy for the business, its product range and investment solutions.
The newly formed boutique fund manager had been looking to fill the key head of operations role since its launch earlier this year, Omega managing director George Vassos said.
"This is the final piece in the Omega executive committee puzzle for us and we're looking forward to moving ahead with our business development program and launching our first product to market in coming months," he said.
"Andrew has a solid reputation in the industry for the breadth and depth of his expertise and we are delighted to have him as part of our team."
The decision to join Omega was driven both by the strength of the management team and the opportunity to be part of a new and growing business, Dunlevie said.
"It's extremely exciting to be joining a young company that has such great potential, including having Macquarie Global Investments as a strategic shareholder."
Macquarie Global Investments acquired a 19.9 per cent stake in Omega in May this year.
