Suncorp Wealth Management partners with Intech to launch a new platform which aims to demystify super for customers.

Suncorp Wealth Management has joined forces with Intech to launch a new platform aimed at demystifying superannuation for customers during uncertain economic times.

The platform, WealthSmart, provides financial advisers with a compelling offer to recommend to their clients and also frees up their time to focus on building their business, Suncorp Wealth Management executive general manager for superannuation and investments Vicki Doyle said.

"WealthSmart not only aims to demystify super by speaking in a language that all customers can understand, but to deliver a platform that is less complex overall - benefiting both customers and advisers," she said.

Suncorp's partnership with Intech has resulted in a flexible investment menu that gives advisers the ability to tailor a solution to meet the specific needs of clients, according to Doyle.

"We partnered with Intech to provide a reliable core of multi-manager investment options, and then added to that more than 30 single-sector investment options from 18 quality investment managers," she said.

Suncorp had also used feedback received from advisers to deliver three new products for people at all stages of life, Doyle said.

"Some people are taking an active interest in their super for the first time and may be realising they really don't understand how their money is invested or how to make the most of their super in retirement," she said.

"Suncorp Wealth Management has responded with a simpler, easier to understand product, making the benefits of super more accessible for the average customer and creating real business benefits for advisers."
