RetireInvest has hired former Genesys Wealth Advisers risk manager Col Fullagar to grow the group's risk capability.
Fullagar began working in the role at the beginning of this month. He will be responsible for supporting the group's advisers in all matters related to risk insurance and building the life insurance component of RetireInvest's services.
The addition of Fullagar to the RetireInvest team is understood to be the sixth the ING-owned group has made from former Genesys employees this year.
In March this year, RetireInvest nabbed four investment researchers from Genesys for its new in-house research team.
Paul Campbell, who had been in the financial services industry for ten years with the majority of that time spent as Genesys chief executive, was appointed RetireInvest chief executive in February.
"Col's appointment is a fantastic result for RetireInvest and will have a definite impact on our proprietors and their businesses," Campbell said.
"This appointment reflects the increased significance of risk in RetireInvest's growth and also demonstrates our commitment to be regarded as a provider of holistic financial advice."
Fullagar brings to the new position more than 25 years of experience in risk insurance, underwriting, administration and product development.
