Schroder Investment Management Australia (Schroders) has hired Luc Simoncini as an investment specialist to its global quantitative equity product (QEP) team.
The appointment further strengthens Schroders' quantitative equities capabilities and increases the size of the team worldwide to 19.
Simoncini joins Schroders from Pioneer Investments, where he most recently worked in the role of institutional investment specialist for Australia and Asia with a particular focus on global equity products.
He brings to his new position more than 14 years' experience in financial markets, which has included roles within CDC Ixis, Julius Baer Group and HSBC based in London, Dublin, Paris and Sydney.
Simoncini will be an integral part of the investment team and will have overall client responsibility across QEP products for Australian based investors, Schroders' head of research QEP global equities David Philpotts said.
