BT Financial Group has announced the internal promotions of two senior executives, Gai McGrath and Deanne Stewart, effective 1 November 2010.
McGrath, who is currently general manager of customer service, will move into the new role of general manager retail bank for Westpac New Zealand.
She will be replaced by Deanne Stewart, who has been promoted internally from her current position of Westpac Private Bank head of strategy, training and operations for NSW & ACT.
"We are very grateful for everything Gai has done for BT Financial Group and our customers and wish her every success in her new role in New Zealand," BT chief executive Brad Cooper said.
"And it's terrific to be able to appoint an executive of Deanne's calibre into our important customer service leadership position."
Stewart started her career at Bankers Trust Australia as an Australian equities investment analyst, then went on to help establish BT's institutional marketing team and then later led BT's advertising and market research area.
"Deanne went on to gain international experience in the US and UK in business strategy, sales, marketing and product development at several global financial services and management consultancies. We were glad to welcome her back when she returned to Australia," Cooper said.
