ANZ has appointed Craig Brackenrig to the position of general manager superannuation and investments.
He will be responsible for all of ANZ's core superannuation, investment and retirement solutions. The position incorporates the development of existing platforms as well as next generation platform offerings.
Brackenrig brings more than 25 years' experience in financial services to the new role, most recently worked internationally for Aviva plc as financial director of the Asia Pacific region.
Reporting to ANZ's wealth managing director John Van Der Wielen, Brackenrig will commence in the role on 18 April.
"A key component of our growth is the strategy we implement and the investments we make in our platforms," Van Der Wielen said.
"Craig's strong record in managing large-scale technology and business change will be a valuable asset for ANZ as we develop and implement next generation investment and platform solutions for our customers."
Brackenrig replaces the current general manager of superannuation and investments Ross Bowden, who has decided to leave the business after more than 20 years working across RetireInvest, Mercantile Mutual, ING Australia, and OnePath.
"Ross has made a significant contribution to the business over many years and was integral to the integration of OnePath into ANZ. We wish him well in his new endeavours," Van Der Wielen said.
