Bancassurance group Suncorp-Metway (SUN) has named Patrick Snowball as its new chief executive, effective 1 September 2009.
Snowball, formerly an executive at UK insurance giant Aviva, replaces acting CEO Chris Skilton who replaced John Mulcahy.
Snowball's most recent posts were as chairman and deputy chairman of the Towergate group of companies.
Mulcahy stepped down in February after the company's value plunged by $12 billion.
