Chartered accounting and business advisory firm Accru Felsers is to gain two new partners to boost to its financial planning arm.

Bentleys MRI Sydney taxation consulting directors Brett Cox and Peter White will join the Sydney firm on November 20. Bentleys MRI Sydney will close next week and its six other directors and staff will join RSM Bird Cameron Financial Services.

"The real advantage is gaining the expertise of these young partners who have a good reputation in the tax and business services industry," Accru Felsers managing partner Glenda Nixon said.

Accru Felsers comprises seven chartered accounting practices in Australia and New Zealand. It also has Accru Financial Planning (AFP) in Sydney and Accru Wealth Management in Melbourne.

"This is a huge opportunity for us. There's potential for our client base to grow through their accounting clients and they can offer exposure to a well-established financial planning firm with a great reputation as a value add," AFP managing financial planner and director Matthew Kidd said.

AFP is a high net worth specialist with $150 million in funds under management and about 80 clients. It has four authorised representatives including Kidd and Accru Felsers partner and AFP director Greg Newbury.

Cox and White bring with them 65 self managed super funds, Kidd added.
