The corporate watchdog has banned nine directors from company duties in November following business failure.

Construction materials and formwork supplier Domenico Ferrara, of Greenacre, Sydney, has been banned for five years following the failure of three companies, Domenic Formwork, Domenic Ferrara Constructions and Demici Formwork.

He failed to keep adequate records, hid company assets from liquidators and withdrew company funds to pay for his daughter's wedding, households bills and a speeding fine, according to ASIC.

Property developer Anthony James Taylor, of Oakville, Sydney, has been banned for five years following an ASIC investigation into his involvement in failed companies, MSTA and Clucor. ASIC also disqualified Taylor's son, Adam John Taylor, also of Oakville, for two years.

The watchdog banned entrepreneur Phillip Ronald Coombe, of Parramatta, Sydney, for five years following his management of failed companies, FBM (Australia), Multitec Graphics and Multitec Mailing.

Builder Paul Anthony Jennings, of Maroubra, Sydney, has been banned for four years. He was involved in eight failed companies.

Also banned for three years were building materials supplier Ming Lee, of Baulkham Hills, Sydney, welder Allan William Bolton, of Geraldton, Western Australia, hospitality services provider Brian Joseph Canty, of Emerald, Queensland, and kitchen manufacturer Richard Knebel, of Tapitallee, New South Wales.

Disqualified directors have the right to appeal to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
