National manager promoted to network development head.

A revamp of Cameron Walshe is top of the list for Steve Browning in the new job heading advice network development.

Browning has been promoted from national manager of Guardian Financial Planning and Cameron Walshe.

"Both our Guardian and Cameron Walshe businesses have practices preparing to transfer ownership of their businesses over the next few years. We will be working with the principals to ensure that they maximize the value of the practices and provide a smooth transition for clients," Browning said.

"We are now in a much better position to participate in the right opportunities in the market. The Cameron Walshe brand position will be one of a corporatised boutique. It will offer the best of both worlds - choice and flexibility with institutional backing."

Cameron Walshe practices in Victoria and Western Australia will be the first to be developed.

"We will continue to selectively grow both dealer groups with quality risk and super practices in Guardian and specialist financial planning businesses aligned to the refreshed Cameron Walshe brand. Acquisition and equity participation opportunities are also on the radar," Asteron corporate and distribution chief executive officer David Carter said.

Marcus Grahn has been promoted from Guardian South Australia and Tasmania state manager, to advice network development manager, based in Victoria.
