Citigroup hires senior planner; Capstone gains three

Senior financial planner Chris Murray has joined Citigroup Wealth Advisors.

Senior financial planner Chris Murray has joined Citigroup Wealth Advisors. Murray was at Monitor Money in Chatswood, Sydney, for almost five years as a planner and self managed superannuation fund (SMSF) adviser.

"Citigroup is growing its financial planning business and links in very well to the private client stockbroking base here, particularly the SMSF advice," he said. "Citigroup sees the financial planning advice as a key component of the wealth business in Australia." He is a member of the FPA Sydney chapter and SMSF Professionals' Association of Australia.

Financial adviser Jacqui Foster, who runs Lifestyle Wealth Advice in Uranquinty, New South Wales, has left Genesys Wealth Advisers to join Capstone Financial Planning. "I wanted a licensee I could have a relationship with. Capstone provides my practice with choice and flexibility," Foster said. Foster has 25 years' industry experience and is self-managed superannuation fund accredited.

Marija Sasson has joined as licensee operations head. Sasson has more than 20 years' industry experience and was a founding director of service provider Adviser Solutions. Prior to that, she was with Goldman Sachs JBWere and National Financial Management.

Louise Barthelot has joined as professional standards officer. Barthelot was formerly with Credit Union Australian Financial Planning and has eight years' experience in technical, research and paraplanning.

Capstone has more than $1.8 billion in funds under advice. It has offices in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and NSW.
