Aviva is celebrating a 25 per cent boost in business inflows after launching its insurance tool a month ago.
Since the launch of Riskfirst to its adviser network on 5 June, one in four applications to the insurance giant has been made online.
"For new technology and an industry business that's not used to having technology, that's great," Aviva wealth protection products general manager Natalie Eckersall said.
The application has received broad support from all advisers, rather than a few big business writing advisers.
On the last day of the 2006/07 financial year, one in three applications were written online.
"[This is] perhaps because advisers were looking for the most effective way of ensuring their client's protection business was finalised or well underway by June 30," she said.
The online end-to-end insurance platform can be accessed by 10,000 advisers.
"While it is a little difficult to assess the impact of Riskfirst on the volume of our new business due to seasonal impacts and other product enhancements, we can report significant increases in volume in June 2007, as compared to May 2007 and to June 2006," she added.
More than 1000 policies have been submitted through Riskfirst.
Aviva was recently chosen by Genesys Wealth Advisers to be one of four insurance partners to services its 400-strong network.
Genesys Wealth Advisers director Andrew Creaser cited its online applications and underwriting, combined with advanced claims management as the reason.
