Phil Galagher, head of marketing at investment manager Tyndall, has been made redundant.
Tyndall managing director Brett Himbury wants a Sydney-based marketing manager, but Galagher wanted to remain in Melbourne, a Tyndall spokeswoman told InvestorDaily.
She could not confirm when Galagher's last day would be.
Recruitment for a Sydney-based marketing manager will begin shortly, according to the spokeswoman.
Galagher joined Tyndall in 2000.
He has worked in the financial services industry since 1969 in senior management positions, including Commonwealth Funds Management and IOOF.
He also has senior experience in marketing and sales, strategic planning, IT, research, product development and relationship management in both retail and wholesale financial markets.
InvestorDaily contacted Himbury for comment, but he was unavailable.
