Australia's only in-house financial planning team - Flight Centre's MoneyWise - has joined dealer group Consultum Financial Advisers.
MoneyWise's team of 15 financial planners, headed by adviser and national manager Paul Mann, advises the 9000 employees of Australasia's largest retail travel group.
The team comprises certified financial planners Roger Smith, Darren Maundrell, Kevin Cuthbert and John Van Rooden, and financial planners Mark Shrimplin, Philip Gard, Karen Morr, Catherine Navarro, Craig Woodrow, Craig Williams, Kelly Newton, Kelly Roper, Kelly Roche and Jo Page.
Mann and his team provide around 5000 one-on-one consultations annually.
The average Flight Centre employee is 28 and many struggle with debt following years of overseas travel.
As authorised representatives of Consultum, MoneyWise advisers will use its back-office, business and technical support and marketing.
"We feel that we have found a company that shares the same values and service standards and there is a good synergy between the two groups," Mann said.
MoneyWise was established in 1994 by Flight Centre managing director Graham "Skroo" Turner to attract and retain employees and improve productivity.
"The Flight Centre MoneyWise program presents a great opportunity for Flight Centre staff to access quality financial advice from qualified and experienced professionals," Consultum head Stuart Abley said.
MoneyWise was highlighted as a leading employee program in the Federal Government's Financial Literacy campaign.
