Financial adviser Hamish Harvey has stepped up his involvement in Genesys Wealth Advisers practice Brown Bulley Starcic by buying into the firm.
Harvey has taken out an equity stake in the North Sydney-based business and become the fifth director alongside managing director Ray Miles and principals David Brown, James Dunlop and Ray Gibson.
It follows Miles' return to hands-on financial planning after he left his job in recruitment and business development for the Challenger-owned dealer group in May.
Miles said the firm would also increase its support staff team of 11 people.
From July, Genesys began to pay member firms a 20 per cent to 40 per cent rebate from up to 20 platforms depending on how much business they wrote.
