Commonwealth Financial Planning has appointed former St George Bank chief Paul Cullen as head of advice, effective February 4.
Cullen will drive the group's strategic approach on advice, licensees and practice management and adviser development.
He spent 13 years with St George Bank, most recently as head of financial planning.
"[Cullen] has a deep understanding of financial planning practices and real knowledge of what advisers need to support their businesses," Commonwealth Financial Planning general manager Tim Gunning told InvestorDaily.
Cullen and Gunning previously worked together at Securitor.
Monica Lunin, who was formerly head of advice, has moved to a job focused on improving cross-selling.
Also, Sally Collins has been appointed to the newly created head of strategy job. Collins was previously Commonwealth Financial Planning head of adviser development.
"These new appointments bring a high calibre of specialist knowledge to key roles within Commonwealth Financial Planning, ensuring we continue to develop our business functions and grow our business in an increasingly competitive market," Gunning said.
