Two boutique financial planning groups will offer clients low-cost advice through an online portal.
LocumsGroup and 2020 DirectInvest are the first advice companies to sign up to AdviceConnect.
The service bridges the gap between no advice and comprehensive advice, LocumsGroup managing director Paul Ahearne said.
"As a multi-disciplined practice we are keen to provide an additional channel for investment, tax and debt structuring advice," Ahearne said.
LocumsGroup has three divisions; accounting, financial planning and mortgage lending. It has 2500 clients.
Boutique 2020 DirectInvest provides premium and low-cost investment services primarily to members of professional associations.
The platform will enable the company to provide its do-it-yourself investor clients with online financial and superannuation health checks, 2020 DirectInvest managing director Michael Lannon said.
AdviceConnect was developed by software company WealthPoint Australia. The platform will be up and running in the next two months.
"The market for low cost, online advice is huge as the majority of Australians are considered 'unadvised' by existing face-to-face and phone advice offerings," WealthPoint chief executive Mike Giles said.
